What is XENTRY?
XENTRY is a Mercedes-Benz diagnostic environment for working with a vehicle’s electronic systems. Depending on the model and access, it supports module overviews, stored faults, measured values and appropriate diagnostic tests.
Many owners know Mercedes diagnostics as STAR Diagnosis. We use that familiar name as a customer reference without claiming that STAR Diagnosis and XENTRY are technically identical. MB Lab Diagnostics provides independent diagnostics and is not part of the official Mercedes-Benz dealer network.
More context than a general OBD reading
A general OBD scanner can provide useful initial information, especially about the engine and emissions. Specialist diagnostics adds context from accessible Mercedes modules and their data. The tool still needs informed interpretation of symptoms and focused checks.
Depending on the vehicle, checks may cover the engine, transmission, ABS / ESP, power supply, AIRMATIC, lighting, climate control, parking or infotainment. Access to a module does not mean every procedure is authorised or appropriate.

Which Mercedes vehicles can be considered?
We consider petrol, diesel and supported hybrid Mercedes-Benz vehicles from 2005 to 2026, including Vito and Sprinter. Fully electric vehicles and high-voltage work are outside our scope. We confirm the powertrain and available checks before a visit.
